Q.1 Tell us about the work you are responsible for and what you find appealing about it.

Experiencing the foundations of manufacturing through my work

I develop applications for tools used in factories that manufacture specialized vehicles. These tools are primarily used to write software to vehicles during assembly and to carry out inspections. They also support the production process in various ways to keep assembly on schedule, for example, by automatically registering completed vehicles on an external server once assembly is finished. By communicating and linking with external systems such as cloud servers, the tools reduce manual tasks and contribute to improved efficiency and productivity on the factory floor.
As part of the development team, I currently handle modification work in response to user requests. My responsibilities include reviewing and defining specifications for functional updates, conducting approval reviews, implementing the changes, performing integration testing, and completing the final approval process. During implementation, I spend most of my day programming in C#. I still recall the excitement of learning how specialized vehicles are assembled and mass-produced, as well as the difficulties our clients face in bringing their products to market Being able to understand the processes and background behind manufacturing through my work is one of the most rewarding aspects of this job.

Q.2 Tell us about a time you struggled at work and a moment when you felt you had grown.

Embracing different people's perspectives became my fastest path to growth

Because I work with many people on site, including the client’s representatives, I initially found it difficult that everyone communicated in different ways. Even if my development work was technically perfect, I realized that I wasn’t truly doing my job if I failed to communicate the necessary information to others. Once I began to understand what each person needed and respond flexibly, my work started to proceed much more smoothly. In terms of growth, review meetings, where others point out issues in what I’ve created, have played a major role in improving my skills. No matter how capable you are individually, relying only on your own perspective eventually limits you. For me, exchanging ideas with many people and actively incorporating different viewpoints, rather than sticking to my own approach, proved to be the quickest way to improve. In particular, my current workplace has a culture that supports each employee’s development, allowing me to take on work that is one step beyond my current level.

Q.3 What were your motivations in joining the company and what have you felt since joining?

An open and transparent culture that retains its venture spirit

During my job search, I was intentionally looking for recently established companies. I had a somewhat idealistic belief that at a young company, strong results would make you more memorable; with fewer employees, promotions might come more quickly; and perhaps...just perhaps, I could even become an executive one day (laughs). At the time, my focus was entirely on advancing my career in software development, and I also planned to remain at my next company until retirement. Wanting to "commit to one company" for the long term was probably not a typical outlook for someone my age. After going through several interviews that didn’t quite feel like the right fit, I came across Seedea.I sensed that the company had significant growth potential and decided to learn more. The position they presented matched exactly what I had been seeking, which led me to join. I think Seedea is more open and transparent than other companies. Although about 20 years have passed since its founding, the company still maintains a venture-minded spirit and continues to take on new challenges. There is still room for improvement in areas such as systems, compensation, and organizational structure. I feel it is a company with the energy to stay ahead of the times.
