Q.1 Tell us about Seedea.

Engineers active across multiple locations in Japan and overseas

Seedea’s business is built on two main pillars: the Solutions Business and the Programming School Business. The Solutions Business currently covers four key areas: LSI Design, Embedded Systems, System Integration, and Infrastructure Product Design. Across our offices in Japan and abroad, many engineers are engaged in projects spanning a wide range of technical fields. Because Seedea employs many international engineers, collaboration across borders naturally occurs, engineers from different countries working together, connected by the common language of technology. In recent years, as the shortage of engineers has become more serious, we have also expanded hiring of new graduates and candidates without prior experience in the software field. We are also strengthening recruitment in chemistry as a new area of focus. In addition, with increasing interest in IT education, we are actively recruiting staff to help operate our children’s programming school, “Sakurabo,” which aims to broaden the pool of future IT talent.

Q.2 What kind of person are you looking for at Seedea?

Actively recruiting new graduates and inexperienced engineers who will become future engineering candidates

We place strong emphasis on hiring young talent in their 20s and 30s. Developing the next generation of engineers is a major priority for Seedea. Even applicants without prior experience are actively welcomed if they have an interest in technology and a desire to grow. One of Seedea’s strengths is that many of our engineers are actively working on the front lines of rapidly advancing technological fields.
For those who join without experience, we hope they will make full use of the post-joining training programs and also learn practical skills naturally through daily interaction with managers, senior colleagues, and teammates. For experienced candidates in their 30s and 40s, we evaluate not only their current skills but also their future potential when making hiring decisions.
At Seedea, there are many opportunities to apply your technical abilities regardless of academic background. Whether you draw on knowledge gained during your studies or experience built in previous roles, we provide an environment where you can maximize your strengths. Our recruitment and sales teams work closely together to support each individual so they can grow in the direction they aspire to.

Q.3 What do you value and find rewarding about your work?

Being a sincere and supportive partner for every applicant

My personal motto is “never lie.” To prevent mismatches after joining the company, I answer candidates’ questions as honestly as possible and share information transparently. When someone tells me during the selection process that they feel uncertain or conflicted, I take the time to understand the reasons and consider what might help them move forward. I try to act as a listener and supporter—not only as a Seedea employee, but as one person speaking to another. As a result, when a candidate ultimately decides to join and says, “I chose Seedea because you were my recruiter,” it reminds me of the purpose and fulfillment of this role. Recruiting is also a results-oriented job, so meeting our hiring targets brings a strong sense of accomplishment. After new members join, my mission shifts to supporting the growth of junior staff while continuing to achieve results. When a junior recruiter successfully secures a hire through their own efforts, I feel genuinely happy—as if it were my own achievement—and it motivates me to keep improving. Because recruitment is never accomplished alone, I always try to remain mindful of my gratitude toward everyone involved.

I believe it takes about three years before you truly feel, “I’ve become a working professional,” or “I’m enjoying my job.” Some of you reading this may be standing right at the starting line of your career. Your first job can feel overwhelming, but you might begin simply by trying what you are asked to do, reflecting on it, and adjusting your approach as needed. Through that process, you may discover the kind of person you want to become, and realize you are already becoming that person.
That was my experience as well: as I grew through my work, my perspective broadened. Work became more enjoyable, and life felt more fulfilling. Even if you are not confident, we hope you will feel free to apply. Let's discuss your future together!
